Our Members and Partners

A major Capital Campaign is currently underway to assist with funding the final design and construction of the Mill Cove Environmental Education Center and related site improvements. Total costs are estimated at $3 million. A combination of state and/or federal grants along with private and partner contributions will fund the Center. The campaign is anticipated to be a four-year initiative. Gifts in a single installment or spread over the duration of the campaign are welcome, as are planned gifts that may be a part of an estate.

Naming opportunities are available for significant contributions. For gifts and commitments of $1,000 or more directed toward any major projects, a permanent plaque will be appropriately placed recognizing the name of the donor.

Major corporate sponsors and state and federal grants are additional potential sources of revenue currently being pursued. Membership fees, rental income, and service fees for use of the facilities would provide ongoing income to maintain the facility. In addition, the board of directors proposes to establish a living endowment fund to sustain the facility in future generations. It is also expected that maintenance agreements with Mansfield University and other project partners will help defray operational expenses.
